The Tortured Readers Department – Midnights Bookshop Book Club

October 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

We’re still in our reading era… but this time, things are getting a little haunted.

The Tortured Readers Department is back for our second meeting at Midnights Bookshop! After our first gathering, we’re turning the page and diving into our next read: She Haunts Me Still by D.E. Elizabeth.

For our second meeting, we’re leaning into the darker side of our reading era. Expect ghosts, unsettling moments, theories, and plenty to discuss as we dive into this haunting horror novel. Come ready to share your favorite moments, your wildest theories, and maybe a few things that kept you up at night.

What to expect:

  • Cozy bookshop vibes with a spooky twist
  • Discussion, theories, and favorite moments
  • A little literary darkness and midnight magic
  • Fellow readers who aren’t afraid to get a little haunted
  • Plenty of reasons to keep the lights on afterward

Admission is free — no ticket required. Everyone is welcome to join us!

Need a copy? We’ve got you covered: get 20% off She Haunts Me Still at Midnights Bookshop through October 1.

About the book:

She Haunts Me Still by d.e. Elizabeth follows Mallory Webb, a theater student who arrives at a secluded Rhode Island college hoping to uncover answers about her mother’s mysterious past. After landing the role of Juliet in the school’s production of Romeo and Juliet, Mallory begins experiencing strange and unsettling encounters that make her question what’s really happening on campus.

As she digs deeper, she uncovers a dark history involving old secrets, mysterious disappearances, and a haunting connection to the past. With gothic atmosphere, Shakespearean drama, vampires, romance, and a seriously creepy college setting, She Haunts Me Still is perfect for readers who like their horror with a side of mystery and intrigue.
